Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

It is terribly ordinary of us, but we have an out-of-state visitor, so we took Jane to the ASDM. It is probably a state law. Winter is definitely the time to go. The animals were sleepy at midday, but at least they were sleepy in the sun, rather than hiding in the shade. Yep, it was another pleasant sunny day in Tucson.
We went out through Gates Pass. There were lots of the two-legged mountain goats on the rocks. We came back by way of Picture Rocks so we got to see LOTS of saguaros.
We wanted to stop at the store, so we used the new Twin Peaks exit from I-10. It leads right to the Safeway at Linda Vista and Thornydale. We decided it is faster and easier than Tangerine, so we will start using it when we head to I-10 or coming back.
When we got home, I fired up the grill and cooked a variety of meats to last us a week. Then we sat on the patio and ate a nice late afternoon meal. We decided to come inside at about 5 because it started to cool off and nobody wanted to get jackets on.
Poor Jane has to go home tomorrow. In Sitka it is raining sideways. Has been for days (weeks?). See Jane cry.

We are very honored and happy that we got to meet Jane! She will be going back to Alaska with good stories about Arizona, and she can vouch for the January weather we all brag about! Safe traveling, Jane!

Didn't cry out loud, but was so sad to leave! Guess I'll just have to return someday. See you in May.
