Happy Birthday, Bill

Too bad, Bill is working on his birthday. As a kid his birthday was during summer vacation so he always had the day off. As a teacher his birthday was always during the school year so he seldom had the day off. If he were a teacher in Skagway his birthday would be during summer vacation even if it does seem like a cold, windy day. As a retiree working on his birthday has been his choice. I guess this year he made the choice months ago.

Fortunately, I have today off so he will have: his laundry done, his bathroom cleaned, a nice dinner with Wife Peggie and Brother Don at the Starfire, GREAT homemade brownies, the gift of a future helicopter ride to Mead Glacier, and a HAPPY wife. What a lucky guy! What a lucky girl!

Here is pre-birthday boy enjoying the bi-weekly newspaper at the local cafe on his day off. Most places in Skagway have the front doors open to welcome people in so sometimes it's as cold inside as it is outside. We were dressed for the weather so it was fun to be in/out and about.

Happy Happy Birthday Bill!
It was great to have a visit from Casey and nice to talk with you on the phone yesterday. We took Casey and Mom to dinner last night at the Grasshopper Grill in Cornville. Yes, the food is really good - we were all happy!
By the way, our gift to you was NOT to sing!
